This is the heartwarming moment a hardworking toddler helped out his father with farm chores.

Haikal Alwiperanginangin joined his family to prepare the land before planting vegetables in North Sumatra, Indonesia, on March 16.

Footage shows Haikal holding the fertiliser spray and soaking the land with it.

The handle was as big as him while the hose hung on his shoulders. The kid went through the plot of land without missing a spot.

His uncle Reza Ardiansyah said: 'Haikal was curious so we let him try it with the help of his parents.

'We were surprised when he knew exactly what to do. Haika copied how we did it.'
