Bungling lumberjack fells 50ft palm tree... taking out nearby power lines
A bungling lumberjack cut a tall palm tree in the middle - and dragged down nearby power lines.
The gardener climbed 20ft up the trunk with his power tools but miscalculated the angles.
Footage shows the worker slicing through the 50ft tree. As the upper section was felled, it yanked down a tangle of overhead electricity lines.
The tree lay in the middle of the road at the front of a temple with the debris scattered in the road on March 18.
Shocked onlooker Eid said: 'The worker was hired to prune the trees outside the Wat Nam Khong temple. He looked so pale after seeing the damage he had caused.'
Shocked locals gathered to check the damage and called local authorities to start the repair.
Eid added: 'They should hire professionals next time. He cut right in the middle of a tall tree which stood right beside an electrical pole.'
