Meet Karly, Jake, Dodge, and Rocky, better known on Instagram as 'wakingupinaus'. The full-time caravan travelers are tackling a house renovation in Toowoomba to help fund their adventures. When Karly asked Jake to film his progress, he set his phone to timelapse, got to work, and unknowingly buried it under a massive pile of dirt.

After 20 minutes of hard labor, he reached for his phone only to realize it was gone. He frantically scraped, dug, and shoveled, convinced he’d lost it for good until it hit him; the phone wasn’t lost, it was right there, recording every second of his meltdown.

We travel full time in our caravan around Australia and are doing a renovation in Toowoomba to hopefully fund our travels. I asked my husband to get some videos of the work he was doing so I could share it on our travel page and show the kids what Daddy has been up too. He had been working non stop for a week straight as he’s trying to get as much done while he’s away from us and was completely wrecked. He set the phone to Timelapse and started moving dirt for about 20minutes only to realise that his phone wasn’t sitting on the seat where he normally has it in the cab. In a mad panick he starts scraping the dirt and gets out and shovels for a good 20 mins looking for his phone. He then had that moment of realisation that he was actually filming and his phone was sitting there capturing the mayhem that just unfolded
