Balinese Hindus arrange offerings in preparation for prayers during the Tawur Agung Ceremony ritual a day before Nyepi Day which marks the arrival of the Saka New Year at the Agung Raksa Buana Temple on March 28, 2025 in Medan, Indonesia.

Tawur Agung Kesanga is a Butha Yadnya ceremony which is also believed to be able to expel evil from the surrounding environment, then the ritual is continued with prayers accompanied by offerings, because Tawur Agung Kesanga is based on the concept of the Tri Hita Karana teachings, where Indonesian Hindus refrain from activities such as cooking, eating, drinking, working, and traveling which aims to harmonize the relationship with the three elements, humans with God, humans with humans, and humans with the universe and purify themselves from bad traits before Nyepi Saka New Year.
