Two hero policemen saved children from a house fire in Texas.

Officers Chavez and Cordero of Little Elm were in the area when they were informed that police and fire units had been dispatched to a residential blaze in the Paloma Creek South development.

Upon arriving at the burning home, the duo learned that two children were still trapped inside.

Bodycam footage shows the officers searching the two-story home through thick smoke on Wednesday, March 26.

Chavez found one girl sleeping, picked her up, and took her outside before returning to search for the second child.

Cordero located a teenager, also asleep, and the officers helped her out of the house.

Authorities confirmed that neither child was injured during the rescue. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The police department praised the officers, saying: 'They didn't just show up—they charged into the unknown to save lives. They are heroes, and we appreciate them for protecting our community.'

This week, Chavez and Cordero will be honoured at the Little Elm Town Council meeting.
