SANA'A, YEMEN - APRIL 11, 2025: Tens of thousands of Houthi supporters gathered in Sabeen Square in the Yemeni capital Sana'a on Friday, Apr. 11 to stage a demonstration in support of Palestine amid the ongoing Israeli genocide on Gaza. Chanting slogans such as "Our jihad for Gaza continues, stop the aggression and lift the blockade", the demonstrators expressed strong opposition to the Israeli military campaign and called for an immediate end to the violence and siege imposed on the Palestinian territory. The Israeli army launched a surprise aerial campaign on the Gaza Strip on March 18, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas that took hold in January. More than 50,900 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in Gaza in ongoing Israeli genocide since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
