VARIOUS OF PEOPLE CARRY BODY OF DECEASED TEENAGER WHILE SHOUTINGRAMALLAH, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - APR. 15, 2025: Malik Ali al-Khattab, a 19-year-old Palestinian, was fatally shot by Israeli forces on Monday, Apr. 14, at the Jalazone Camp north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. His funeral was held the following day, Tuesday, Apr. 15, in the same camp, where grieving relatives and friends gathered to mourn his death and bid farewell. The somber ceremony reflected the community's deep sense of loss. Three Palestinians on Monday morning sustained injuries by the Israeli forces which raided a refugee camp in the central occupied West Bank. A medical source told Anadolu that the three Palestinians were injured by live ammunition when the Israeli army raided the Jalazone refugee camp in northern Ramallah city. Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli forces carried out a military operation in the Jalazone camp, during which it stormed into several homes and shops, and also detained several people. The Israeli army's raid triggered clashes with Palestinians in the camp who were confronted by Israeli forces' live ammunition and tear gas canisters. Tensions have been high in the West Bank since the Israeli war on Gaza, killing nearly 950 Palestinians and injuring over 7,000 others since October 2023, according to Palestinian figures. In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land illegal and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
