Storylin: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a three-day state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. China’s foreign ministry earlier said that relations between Azerbaijan and China have maintained a sound growth momentum, with deepening political mutual trust, fruitful Belt and Road cooperation, and effective international coordination. Azerbaijan, one of the first countries to support China's Belt and Road Initiative, is China’s biggest trading partner in the South Caucasus, and China is the fourth largest trading partner and largest source of imports of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan may seek to expand exports of its agricultural products and non-oil goods to China within the framework of Belt and Road cooperation, which aligns with China's efforts to diversify imports amid U.S. tariffs pressure, as seen in its increased soybean purchases from Brazil.
