Raccoon tries to make an escape by climbing window
A cheeky pet raccoon longing for the outdoors tried to escape by climbing the window.
Footage shows the four-year-old mammal named Babeb reaching the ledge and lifting itself up in Chonburi, Thailand.
Babeb reached the top, but the glass pane with a metal frame was locked, foiling its escape plan.
The creature's owner Ppuii Faii quickly stepped in and gently removed the determined Babeb from the window.
Ppuii Faii said: 'Babeb wanted to go out and play with the capybara next door.'
In Thailand, raccoons are considered legal pets and can be purchased on the open market. However, local regulations on exotic pet ownership remain and paperwork is needed before they can be taken home.
