Drivers battle through 90 MPH storm in Texas
This is the dramatic moment a driver battled through a 90 mph storm in Texas.
Footage shows heavy rainfall and flashes of lightning along the road in Seymour on April 29, around 7:07 pm. Motorists reported that low visibility created hazardous travel conditions along the highway.
The National Weather Service had issued an enhanced risk Level 3 out of 5 for the region due to a convective system that brought large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.
Authorities said that the severe weather was part of a broader system affecting North and Central Texas, with the Storm Prediction Center noting that an outflow boundary contributed to the increased risk of tornadoes.
