This rare moment captured a chicken casually laying an egg while strolling through a garden.

Jade Horsley, 34, was following her chicken Hennifer Lopez after suspecting the bird had been hiding eggs somewhere in the garden.

Jade had her camera ready when, without warning, an egg suddenly dropped to the ground.

The video shows Hennifer unbothered by the egg and continuing her walk.

Jade, a property manager from Cornwall, said: "We'd been getting fewer eggs in the box, so I started watching her more closely."

"I let them out between 10 and 11 in the morning, which is when they usually lay, and I saw her wandering off."

"I had a feeling, so I started following her."

"When I saw the egg peep out, I thought ‘Oh my goodness, I need to get the camera out.'"

"I'm quite into nature, and I've never seen anything like it before. "

"It was like watching a killer whale in the wild — just something totally unexpected."

"Unfortunately, the egg broke. I was going to have it for breakfast, but it's now going back into her feed."
