GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 7, 2025: An Israeli airstrike on Al-Kerame school in Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza, where displaced civilians had taken shelter, killed at least 15 Palestinians on Wednesday, May 7. The strike caused widespread panic and many injuries were also reported, according to local medical sources. The wounded were transported to nearby health facilities, and many were later transferred to the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for further treatment. On Tuesday, Israeli fighter jets also struck a school in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing 22 people and injuring others, medical sources said. Over 52,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
