A bungling paraglider lost control and crash-landed on the roof of a beach shack in Indonesia.

Footage shows the hapless holidaymaker slowly drifting toward the canopy in the coastal village of Parangtritis, near Yogyakarta, in Bantul Regency.

Instead of landing on the open field, Jeny ended up on top of a nearby stall.

Jeny said: 'It was a crash landing while I was still a paragliding student. As I was approaching for landing, my focus was disrupted by dozens of jeeps passing below, and I couldn't hear my trainer's instructions clearly because the noise from the jeeps was too loud.

'When I attempted to land, I dropped too far and had no choice but to land on the roof of a shop. If I had gone a little further, my harness might've gotten caught on the edge of the shop's roof.'

Jeny confirmed that she landed smoothly and did not damage the roof of the store.

She was then seen sitting on the roof, seemingly unharmed, as she awaited rescue.

The evacuation was safely carried out with the help of her instructor, friends, and husband.
