A paraglider missed his friends's face by inches and crashed into another person he botched his landing near their picnic spot.

Footage shows the parachutist descending to the fields where two girls rested in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

The area was mostly clear of people, but the flyer was too late in trying to avoid them.

His feet touched right beside the visitor's head, missing trampling on her face by an inch, as she lay her back on the grass April 13. He then whacked her friend in the head with his knee.

Onlooker Amelia Rahayu said: 'Well, that area was really supposed to be without people but the pilot did not see them immediately.

'The pilot was calm but became tense when he almost hit them.'

The aviator scrambled back to his feet and was assisted by park staff members while no one was hurt.
