Elephant picks up trash thrown by zoo goer and rewarded with pumpkin by keeper
On May 6, at Dragon Dream Animal World in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, an Asian elephant named Wokan helped its keeper pick up a bag of trash that a tourist had thrown into a drainage ditch. As a reward, the keeper gave Wokan a large pumpkin.
Wokan is a 12-year-old male elephant. His keeper, Xiao Le, has been a close companion since taking over his care in 2019. Over the years, they have developed a deep bond. Although Wokan used to be quite timid, under Xiao Le's attentive care, he has gradually become more brave and confident.
