Chaos as stressed student tears him exam paper up and attempts to shred classmates'
On June 7th, during the Chinese college entrance exam (Gaokao) language test — the first exam of the day — an alarming incident occurred at Zoucheng No. 1 High School in Jining, Shandong Province.
A male student suddenly lost control of his emotions and tore up his own test paper. He then proceeded to damage the exam papers and answer sheets of other students. Invigilators acted quickly, removing the student from the exam room.
According to classmates present, the outburst left everyone shocked and shaken, with many unable to calm down for quite some time. In response to the incident, the invigilators requested a five-minute extension for the entire exam room. Students whose papers were destroyed were given additional time — not counted against the exam duration — to complete their tests again.
