According to a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces, a new medical evacuation operation was carried out under royal directives to transport the children and 12 family members accompanying them from Gaza to Jordan. The patients and their relatives were transported via the King Hussein Bridge with the support of the Jordanian Ministry of Health and the WHO. They were then flown to the capital, Amman, aboard Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft. The children have been admitted to the King Hussein Cancer Centre, where they will receive treatment as part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians in Gaza. King Abdullah II announced the initiative during his visit to the White House on 11 February, declaring Jordan’s readiness to receive 2,000 children from Gaza for medical care. On March 4, Jordan conducted the first evacuation of 29 children and their companions via land and air routes. Of that group, 17 children who had completed their treatment were returned to Gaza on Monday, while 12 others remain in Jordan to continue receiving care.
