ISLAMIC COOPERATION YOUTH FORUM PRESIDENT TAHA AYHAN DELIVERING SPEECH (English) KAZAN, TATARSTAN, RUSSIA - MAY 16: Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message to KazanForum 2025 on Friday, May 16, expressing confidence that the forum would enhance dialogue and strengthen partnerships among participating countries. In his message delivered during the Russia-Islamic World: Strategic Vision Group session, held as part of the forum, for which Anadolu is the global communication partner, Putin highlighted Russia's centuries-long cooperation with Islamic nations. Despite challenging global conditions, Russia continues to expand economic, scientific, educational, cultural, humanitarian, and regional ties, according to the country's president. "Tatarstan is one of those subjects of the Russian Federation that are most actively building such fruitful and constructive relations," he said. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stressed that developing relations with Islamic countries is a priority for Russia's foreign policy. He emphasized the Strategic Vision Group's unifying role, as well as the importance of preserving traditional moral and spiritual values amid geopolitical turbulence. Khusnullin also praised the historic contributions of Russian Muslims to the country’s development, defense, and social harmony, highlighting their role in the Great Patriotic War. - Halal market sees rapid global growth Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted efforts to raise youth grounded in traditional values through active programs and youth organizations like the Youth Diplomacy Academy. He described this as building a future involving both society and the state. Turkish Justice and Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci said the concept of halal goes beyond food, covering lifestyle, communication, and social norms. He stressed the need for halal standards and certification as the global halal market is set to hit $7.4 trillion by 2032. Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum President Taha Ayhan emphasized the pivotal role of youth in global leadership and diplomacy. He urged the international community to address the challenges faced by young people in conflict zones, particularly in Gaza, Palestine.
