The controversial summit, initially planned in Milan but relocated to Gallarate for security reasons, drew around 200 far-right activists from across Europe, including representatives of parliamentary parties. Heavily guarded by police, the event proceeded without incident. Meanwhile, in Milan, around 1,000 anti-fascist protesters—many wearing masks, black clothing, and helmets—marched through the city, clashing with riot police. Demonstrators threw smoke bombs and charged at officers, who responded with batons, water cannons, and tear gas. Scuffles erupted near key landmarks, including Santa Maria delle Grazie church, home to Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Protesters chanted anti-police slogans and carried banners reading "Make Europe Antifa Again." A separate rally, organized by center-left and labor groups under the slogan "Milan, Open City – No Space for Hate," was disrupted by radical activists. They heckled Democratic Party leader Elly Schlein, unfurling a banner that read "Stop Remigration = No Deportations." Writing by Sibel Uygun
