A hailstorm triggered flash floods, with water flowing along roads in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dramatic footage shows streets flooded and covered in hail after a violent 10-minute storm hit the region on May 16.

The region was placed under a red alert Friday evening, with the National Meteorological Service reporting 150 to 250 mm (6–10 inches) of rain between Zarate and Arrecifes.

Authorities warned that the storms were 'constantly regenerating' with more heavy rain expected.

Officials confirmed that thousands of residents were evacuated on Saturday due to widespread flooding.
