US, Phoenix: Phoenix Stolen Maserati Grappled by Police Officers

Phoenix, United States - May 18, 2025 05/18/2025 02:20 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Per Phoenix police officers at the scene: Phoenix police located an occupied stolen Maserati near the Cactus Road and I-17 around 2:00 a.m. The vehicle was stationary and occupied by a driver and a passenger. Patrol and Tactical Support Bureau officers set up surveillance positions around the vehicle. The Phoenix Police air unit assisted officers with aerial surveillance. A short time later, around 2:20 a.m., the stolen vehicle went mobile and began driving east on Cactus Road towards 19th Avenue. Tactical Support Bureau units quickly converged on the vehicle near the 2000 block of West Cactus Road. TSB preemptively deployed a Grappler Police Bumper on the Maserati, successfully bringing the vehicle to an abrupt stop. The suspect behind the wheel quickly fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex. Multiple officers gave chase while additional units initiated a high-risk traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers were able to apprehend the fleeing driver a short time later. An adult female passenger was detained following the high-risk traffic stop.
