A woman tested how long it would take for a seagull to snatch her ice cream — and it took just seconds.

Sophie Jones, 23, was enjoying a day at the seaside in Llandudno, North Wales, when she decided to test how quickly a gull might steal her ice cream.

A video shows Sophie holding her salted caramel cone up in the air — and within seconds, a seagull swooped in and snatched the ice cream clean off the cone.

The bird's ruthless speed left Sophie stunned.

She said: "It was quite aggressive and made me jump but I have to admit, it gave me a bit of a thrill."

"With the ice cream gone and only the cone left, it was just a matter of time before they took that too."

"These seagulls really know what they're doing."

"Luckily, I didn't actually buy the ice cream to eat but even if I had, I guarantee they still would have taken it. I was shocked at how fast it happened."
