A pet dog with expensive taste chose Angus beef over bacon when she was asked what she wanted for dinner.

Footage shows Blessy, an Aspin pooch, sniffing the packaged meat in their home in Manila, the Philippines.

She was presented with two options, an uncooked pork product and prime steak, and Blessy used her paw to tap on the beef.

Pet owner Hannah Patricia Lising said: 'Bacon or prime Angus steak? Use your hands, okay?

'Try it one more time, I will flip them. Let's see if you really understood your choice.'

Even after the meats were swapped in position, Blessy again touched the imported beef without hesitation.

Hannah added: 'Blessy the Aspin was choosing between bacon and Angus beef and she instantly chose steak. What a smart princess.'
