Phoenix, United States - June 07, 2025 06/07/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, a suspect was struck by a Phoenix police patrol vehicle after fleeing from officers on foot. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Per officers at the scene, the incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. Saturday. Detectives and the Mobile Command Van responded to the scene, and the investigation was deemed a "Critical Incident". A hard closure was established, spanning 43rd Avenue and the 4100 block of West McDowell Road. The closure remained in place for several hours while detectives worked to investigate the incident. Hours into the investigation a suspected impaired driver struck a patrol vehicle and fled through the active ctime scene.
