Activist Greta Thunberg has been slammed by Israeli hostages’ grandson Daniel Lifshitz. On October 7 2023, Hamas terrorists kidnapped Lifshitz’s grandfather and grandmother from Kibbutz Nir Oz during its rampage through southern Israel which saw nearly 1200 people murdered.

They were among more than 250 men, women and children taken hostage and held in Gaza.

Yocheved Lifshitz, Daniel’s grandmother, was released on October 23rd.

His grandfather, peace activist Oded Lifshitz, 83, was murdered in captivity. His body was released in a coffin after 502 days.

Grandson Daniel, an Israeli footballer, called Greta Thunberg’s use of the word kidnap to describe her experience as “unimaginable”. He said it would be a “dream” for Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas to have been treated the same.

Daniel was speaking ahead of an event on behalf of hostages at the Hostages and Missing Families Forum building in Tel Aviv, Israel.
