This is the dramatic moment a pair of sharks were seen gliding close to the shoreline on Honeymoon Island, Florida.

Drone footage captured by John Yanchoris shows the two sea creatures gliding through shallow waters approximately 3,000 feet from shore around 8 am on Friday, June 6.

John said: 'I was flying in what I call 'Shark Alley' when I saw them. I see about 30 sharks every other day from April to October.'

Local divers confirmed that the area, just off Dunedin Causeway, is a well-known feeding zone for sharks.

John noted he was about to finish his drone session when the duo suddenly appeared.

He added: 'I followed them for quite a while. It was amazing to film.'
