In a statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu announced that they launched attacks on Iran to "neutralize the threat to Israel’s survival." Netanyahu threatened that the attacks would continue until the Iranian threat to Israel is removed, claiming that Iran has developed genocidal rhetoric against Israel supported by its nuclear program. He asserted that Iran has enriched uranium to a level sufficient to produce an atomic bomb and has taken unprecedented steps to manufacture weapons. Netanyahu said Iran could produce nuclear weapons in a very short time at this rate, which he described as a danger for Israel.
