AI robot has conversations with humans in Inner Mongolia
This is the impressive moment an AI robot had conversations with humans in Inner Mongolia.
Er Leng, the humanoid robot dressed in a jersey and shorts, greeted impressed locals in China on June 17.
Footage shows Er Leng standing before a group of women, saying: 'I am a robot, and I am very happy to be here with you. I can do many things like walking, running, shaking hands, waving, chatting, and so on. I hope that I can bring you a lot of fun and happiness. Thank you.'
The message drew applause and cheers from the amused onlookers.
The android also showcased its musical talent by 'singing' a Chinese song, sparking laughter among the crowd.
At one point, it invited one of the spectators to dance and began clapping along to an upbeat tune.
In another clip, a Nigerian man asked Er Leng about Nigeria, prompting the robot to respond immediately with facts, impressing the crowd once again.
Humanoid robots have become increasingly popular and were widely exhibited in China recently for their agility and utility.
Human and animal-like robots are being developed in several countries, with China and the United States leading the 'tech arms race.'
A military-style robot dog was even seen protecting President-Elect Donald Trump in Florida earlier this month.
Eccentric billionaire Elon Musk, who played a prominent role in Trump's recent U.S. election victory, recently presented Optimus, describing it as a multi-functional assistant capable of handling household chores, playing with children, and assisting with various repetitive tasks.
