A schoolboy energetically busted out dance moves for a birthday girl while the class sang her a Happy Birthday song.

Footage shows the youngster, Bernardo, throwing some serious shapes in front of his desk in Bacolod, the Philippines.

Bernardo wiggled his body and clapped along with his classmates as they sang to the celebrant who was at the front of the room.

He kept dancing until the end of the song, then promptly sat back down on June 25.

Hannah Jayona, the aunt of the birthday girl, said: ‘It happened at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Elementary School. We held a simple party for our niece during lunchtime.'

Bernardo was seated between two girls who patted him on the shoulder while he did the lively performance.

Parents and teachers stayed at the back of the classroom, recording the moment for the children.
