This is the adorable moment a pet dog wore a party hat to celebrate his birthday.

Sarah Jane Ong-Pilapil and her family organised a party for Coco, their beloved three-year-old Shih Tzu, in Batangas, the Philippines.

Footage shows the family singing the Happy Birthday song while the seemingly excited canine, wearing a blue cone-shaped party hat, leans on the table on June 18.

Spaghetti, burgers, a bucket of fried chicken, pastries, and a birthday cake were laid out in front of the pooch, who also sported a yellow scarf collar.

Sarah said: 'We always celebrate Coco's birthday because he's the most adored ‘grandchild' in the house. When we started singing to him, it was so cute, he just smiled and stayed calm the whole time. But honestly, we think it was because he could smell his favourite chicken.'
