Kayaker rescues driver stranded in floods in Wisconsin
This is the dramatic moment a kayaker rescued a driver stranded in floodwaters in Wisconsin.
Footage shows the boater approaching a vehicle with the driver trapped inside amid a flooded street in Holmen on June 26.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Ryan Street and Starlite Drive, where heavy rainfall had submerged the roadway.
The National Weather Service reported that moderate to heavy rain was expected to continue from Wednesday through Thursday across much of southwestern Wisconsin, including the Eau Claire and La Crosse areas.
Forecasters warned of at least two waves of rainfall, with some areas potentially receiving up to 127 mm (5 inches) of localised precipitation.
