Big macaque to go! Monkey steals tourist's McDonald's meal
This is the shocking moment a monkey stole a tourist's McDonald's meal.
Footage shows the holidaymaker standing on the stairs when the ravenous primate lunged at him at Huaguo Mountain in Jiangsu, China.
The greedy macaque can be seen grabbing the paper bag before dashing away on June 25. It even dropped the food in panic, causing the bag to roll down a ditch.
The vacationer then walked down to retrieve the meal while other monkeys scattered from the pathway.
Monkeys are common in the region and are known to snatch food, break into homes, and even hop on cars in search of meals.
These primates, like other wild animals, may attack if they feel threatened. Risks from monkey bites include serious wound infections, herpes B virus, and rabies.
