Monkey steals eggs from Buddhist donation table
This is the moment a monkey stole eggs from a Buddhist donation table in Thailand.
Chutima and her friends were in a booth when a hungry macaque snatched two eggs from a plastic tray in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Footage shows the primate walking off with its stolen snack and settling on a nearby concrete bench, where it calmly munched on the food on May 12.
The women were heard laughing at the scene and chose not to disturb the animal, allowing it to enjoy the eggs.
Monkeys are common in the area and are known to snatch food and even break into homes in search of meals.
Officials remind the public that while often tolerated, macaques can become aggressive if they feel threatened. Their bites can pose serious health risks, including wound infections, herpes B virus, and rabies.
