Lampasas River levels surge during floods across Texas
Lampasas River levels surged during widespread flooding across Texas, as heavy rainfall inundated parts of the state.
Footage captured by Daniel Flores shows the raging floodwaters following a severe storm on July 13 at around 7 pm.
Daniel said: 'Check out the massive water surge from the Lampasas River under 195.'
Authorities reported that the water level surged from its usual 10ft to 33ft within just four hours. By the afternoon, the river had receded below flood stage.
Heavy rainfall and powerful winds swept through Central Texas on Sunday, forcing rescue teams to temporarily suspend search efforts for victims of the devastating deluges that struck the region just over a week earlier.
Officials confirmed that more than 100 people were killed in the massive flooding that battered the region, including 28 campers who went missing at Camp Mystic in Kerr County.
