This is the amusing moment a shopper was entertained by a strangely shaped geoduck at a market in China.

Footage shows the intrigued woman holding the clam at a seafood stall in Jiangsu on May 13.

She can be seen grasping the mud duck's long siphon and squeezing it to expel water through its channel opening.

A worker stood beside her holding a net pole, ready to measure and pack the geoduck.

The vendor even jokingly told her to stop playing with the shellfish and place it in the mesh bag.

After making sure all the water was out, the woman finally laid the geoduck into the net, prompting laughter from other sellers in the background.

The geoduck is a large, long-siphoned clam native to the Pacific Northwest, known for its unusual shape and long lifespan.

In China, it is famous as a luxury delicacy prized for its sweet, crunchy meat and believed health benefits, making it highly sought after for special occasions and imported in large quantities.
