US, Phoenix: San Tan Valley Fatal PCSO Deputy-Involved Shooting
Phoenix, United States - July 18, 2025 07/17/2025 07:50 pm GMT-0700 SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. – According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for unknown reasons near Gantzel Road and Pecan Creek Drive. The female driver fled in her vehicle from the deputy, and a pursuit was initiated. At one point during the pursuit, the driver attempted to strike a deputy with her vehicle. The driver crashed her car just south of the intersection of Gantzel Road and Combs Road, ending up in a ditch. After the collision, a deputy-involved shooting occurred. A deputy was struck by gunfire and transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The female suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.
