This is the amusing moment a pet dog was spotted jumping on top of a drawer to grab its favourite toy.

Karel Mae Gilvero saw Kino, the brown Shih Tzu, sitting in front of a small cabinet before leaping onto the furniture to retrieve his orange squeaky toy in Misamis Occidental, the Philippines.

Footage shows the canine biting onto the chicken leg-shaped rubber plush before hopping back down to the floor on July 18.

Kino then ran toward his owner, visibly excited to play with his toy.

Karel said: 'Kino is completely obsessed with his ‘Pot Pot,' a toy that makes a sound whenever he bites it. Even if we accidentally step on it in the middle of the night while he's sleeping, he immediately wakes up to play.

'Right after he woke up this morning, I asked him where his Pot Pot was. He searched everywhere and found it.'
