.... LONDON, UK - JULY 25 2025: Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the British Prime Minister’s residence on Downing Street on Friday, July 25, banging pots and pans to condemn Israel's blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the UK’s continued arms sales to Israel.

Organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), the demonstration accused both Israel and the UK of contributing to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and actor Khalid Abdalla, known for roles in The Crown and The Kite Runner, joined the rally.

Earlier in the day, the anti-occupation Jewish group Na’amod held a separate protest nearby, also calling for sanctions on Israel. Both groups left pots and pans at the gates of Downing Street in a symbolic act of dissent.

On Thursday, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris would officially recognize Palestine during the UN General Assembly in September.

Early Friday, Germany, the UK, and France said they opposed any attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.

Nine more Palestinians have died in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, bringing the total number of starvation-related deaths to 122, the Gaza Health Ministry said early Friday.

Israel has killed more than 59,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system, and led to severe food shortages.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
