COMPLETE SHOTLIST TO FOLLOW KARABUK, TÜRKİYE - JULY 26: Firefighting teams continue their efforts to contain wildfires in the forested areas in Türkiye’s Black Sea province of Karabuk for the fourth consecutive day as of Saturday, July 26.

The fires broke out on Wednesday, with the first igniting at 14:42 local in Safranbolu's district’s cemetery area, followed by a second blaze at 16:29 in Kisla village's Central Neighborhood, close to a marketplace in Ovacik district.

Despite persistent efforts, the fires remain active, with thick smoke complicating operations.

Helicopters conducted aerial firefighting during daylight hours, while ground teams worked through the night to contain the flames.

Authorities have mobilized reinforcements, including personnel and heavy machinery, to bolster firefighting efforts.

A coordinated response involving multiple government agencies and organizations is underway.

The firefighting operation involves extensive resources including 16 helicopters, 2 planes, 31 first-response vehicles, 123 water tankers, 49 water supply vehicles, 13 bulldozers, 5 graders, 21 excavators, 6 trailers, 3 loaders, 4 backhoe loaders, 9 ambulances, 34 search and rescue vehicles, 20 police water cannons, and 2 catering vehicles.

A total of 1,441 emergency responders are currently engaged in the operation. Additionally, a specialized fire management vehicle has been deployed to assist in operations.
