The Philippine Air Force delivered aid to typhoon-battered homes north of the country.

Footage shows personnel loading relief goods into a C-130 aircraft bound for Basco town in Batanes, on July 29.

The province, located at the northernmost tip of the archipelago, is frequently lashed by storms.

The Philippine Air Force said in a statement: 'Leveraging its strategic airlift capability, the PAF deployed a C-130 aircraft to transport essential relief goods from Pasay City and Tuguegarao to Basco, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

'The cargo included 150 family food packs, 375 hygiene kits, and 14 boxes of medical supplies for Batanes General Hospital. Additionally, to support the Provincial DOH Office's Alternate Power System, the PAF delivered four solar panels, four batteries, and one inverter.'

After delivering its cargo, the plane also airlifted 98 stranded individuals back to Pasay City in metro Manila.

The Philippines was pummeled by a trio of successive cyclones - Typhoons Wipha and Co-may and Tropical Storm Emong - in recent weeks.

The country and its neighbours in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
