Footage from the Netzarim Corridor—a zone heavily monitored by the Israeli military—shows Palestinians walking toward an aid distribution site, while others carry away the wounded and the dead following the attacks. In one of the latest assaults, 12 bodies were transported to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City after Israeli gunfire targeted civilians gathered at an aid point along the Netzarim Corridor, medical sources confirmed. Saturday’s attacks are part of a growing pattern of deadly Israeli strikes on starving civilians. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that the number of Palestinians killed while attempting to access food or assistance has now reached 1,422, with more than 10,067 injured since May 27, when the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) began its operations. The GHF, which also has US backing, have been described as “death traps” by critics. Gaza is enduring one of the worst humanitarian crises in its history, with famine compounding an ongoing genocidal war perpetrated by Israel since Oct. 7, 2023. The situation worsened after Israel fully closed all crossings into Gaza since March 2, 2025, blocking most food and medical supplies, which has exacerbated famine conditions. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing more than 60,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
