This is the spectacular moment a flock of parakeets was seen perfectly camouflaging as leaves on a bare tree.

Dozens of rose-ringed parakeets were spotted perching on the tree branches by the roadside in Singapore.

Footage captured by Sam shows the green birds lounging on top, with others flying by on July 27 evening.

She said: 'We were heading home after dinner when we saw these birds. We initially thought they were mangoes, but to our surprise, they were a cute bunch of birds.'

A population of rose-ringed parakeets was believed to have once inhabited the now-defunct Tengah Forest in western Singapore.

Due to deforestation and urban development, these birds lost their habitat and have adapted by settling in urban areas, often seen on roadside trees, parks, and residential spaces.
