In the video, the father carried his son on his shoulders across the floodwaters to avoid danger. Other fathers carried their daughters on their backs. They all tried to keep their children from being affected by the floodwaters. The historic floods in the past 50 years have severely affected the Son La area. There have been 30 deaths and missing. Thousands of houses have been destroyed
