Prairie dog pulls a funny face at zoo visitors
This is the adorable moment a prairie dog pulled a funny face at zoo visitors.
Weng Panpan and her family were left giggling when they spotted the playful marmot standing on its hind legs while stretching its mouth like a child and moving its tongue in and out.
The prairie dog could be seen with its tiny paws on its cheeks, staring at guests from inside its enclosure in Fujian, China, on August 4.
Holidaymakers burst into laughter at the comical display.
Meanwhile, another prairie dog sat still in the background, leaning against the glass wall and staring at the visitors - seemingly unimpressed by its spirited companion.
Prairie dogs often use exaggerated movements and facial expressions as part of their social interaction, grooming habits, or simply to get attention.
However, they are not known for mimicking human movements, raising questions about how the rodent learned the odd manerism.
