Adorable moment ape rushes through rain for an apple
This is the adorable moment an ape rushed through the rain for an apple and seemed to plead with zoo visitors.
Mrs Liu and her family spotted the orangutan sheltering under its shed from the drizzle and offered it the fruit in Shanghai, China.
Upon seeing the snack, the creature hurriedly climbed down in a makeshift raincoat and approached the guests on June 8.
Footage shows the orangutan sitting on the grassy ground near the holidaymakers.
However, when it heard the keeper's stern call warning it not to accept hand-fed food, the orangutan cleverly clasped its hands together, as if begging to give the snack.
Mrs Liu said: 'Sadly, we weren't able to give the fruit because the keeper was watching us.'
Orangutans are solitary animals known for their high intelligence, demonstrating tool use, and problem-solving.
