Mudflows block highway in Untsukulsky, Dagestan, Russia
On August 10, 2025, in Untsukulsky, Dagestan, Russia, a video captured mudflows affecting the Makhachkala–Buinaksk–Verkhniy Gunib national highway. In the video, heavy rainfall triggers mudflows and rockfalls, blocking four sections of the route. Traffic, including through the Gimry Tunnel, is temporarily halted, with a bypass available via the Levashinsky District. Road crews work to clear the debris using four units of equipment and eight personnel.
