DRONE SHOTS OF BURNING FOREST / THICK SMOKE RISING OVER BURNING AREAS (NIGHT SHOTS) (TWO SHOTS) IZMIR, TÜRKİYE - AUG. 12, 2025: A fire that broke out in a minibus in the Buca district of Türkiye’s western Izmir province spread to a nearby forest Tuesday, Aug. 12, prompting a large-scale response from firefighting teams.
According to initial reports, the blaze started for unknown reasons in a moving minibus on the Izmir–Cesme Highway near Mustafa Kemal neighborhood. The flames quickly spread to the adjacent forested area.
The Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry dispatched 4 planes, 2 helicopters, 15 fire trucks, 2 construction machines, and 99 personnel to the scene.
Efforts to bring the fire under control are ongoing.
