This is the clumsy moment a market vendor fell while standing on a bucket to hang stock.

Shop workers were busy attending to customers at Lescanos Fruits and Variety Store when the man misstepped on a pail in Manila, Philippines.

CCTV footage shows the employee, dressed in a black shirt, walking into the store to display bundles of plastic bags on the ceiling on August 9.

He can be seen stepping onto the yellow drum, reaching up to hook the items.

However, he slipped under his own weight while standing at the edge of the container.

He plunged to the floor and almost struck a weighing scale placed on the racks.

A quick-thinking colleague nearby pushed the violet device into place, preventing it from falling onto the lad's head.

The man then stood up, anchoring himself to his co-worker's arm.

Shop worker Michael De Castro said: 'There were a lot of customers at the time, and they couldn't help but laugh. He didn't suffer any injuries.'
