Israeli forces raid al-Amari refugee camp in West Bank

VARIOUS OF ISRAELI FORCES NEAR ROAD / ISRAELI FORCES SEARCHING VEHICLES BELONGING TO PALESTINIANS PASSING ON THE ROADRAMALLAH, WEST BANK, PALESTINE - AUG. 18, 2025: Israeli forces conducted a raid on the al-Amari Refugee Camp located in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Monday (Aug. 18). During the raid, Israeli soldiers set up a checkpoint around the camp and searched the vehicles belonging to Palestinians that were passing on the road. Am'ari camp, located east of Ramallah city in al-Bireh municipality, is one of the smallest camps in the West Bank. Since the start of the second year of genocide in Gaza in October 2023, at least 1,014 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. In July 2024, the International Court of Justice ruled Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal in an advisory opinion, urging the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
