FUNERAL PRAYER BEING PERFORMEDGAZA, PALESTINE - AUGUST 25: Fifteen more Palestinians, including a 27-day-old baby named Cud from the Kuheyl family, were killed in Israeli airstrikes, health officials said on Monday, Aug. 25. Today's strikes marked one of the deadliest Israeli attacks in recent days. Four members of the Kuheyl family, including the infant, were among the 15 Palestinians killed in the attacks. The injured and those who lost their lives were taken to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza for treatment and identification. The Health Ministry also said on Monday that at least 47 Palestinians, including six journalists, were killed Monday and dozens were injured in fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. The new deaths brought the number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023 to 246, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office. Israel has killed more than 62,700 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
